West Puerto Rico
Rincon is Puerto Rico's premier surf destination, located on the island's western tip where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. The town gained international fame hosting the 1968 World Surfing Championship and has been a surfer's paradise ever since. Beyond surfing, Rincon offers spectacular sunsets (it faces due west), whale watching from December to March, excellent snorkeling at Steps Beach, and a laid-back, bohemian community of restaurants, yoga studios, and beach bars. It's also a popular destination for remote workers and digital nomads.
