Compare like with like

1. Use the same hotel room or activity, dates, party size and number of nights.
2. Compare total charges, including taxes, mandatory fees, transport and equipment.
3. Check cancellation deadlines, deposit rules and whether payment is refundable.
4. Value inclusions only if you will use them. A resort credit is restricted spending, not cash.
5. Confirm the promotion appears on the final confirmation before paying.

A checked example: Yunque Ziplining

The operator advertises code YZ10 for $10 off per person: $119 instead of $129, plus tax, under the published offer terms. This is an advertised $10 saving on that eligible experience, not a promise that every tour at the operator is discounted.

When a hotel package is a poor fit

A five-night promotion may have a larger percentage reduction than a three-night offer, but two extra nights can increase the total trip cost. Included breakfast may cover only two people. A nonrefundable promotional rate is not equivalent to a flexible rate, even for the same room.

The hotel comparison shows minimum stays, deadlines and the restrictions recorded for each offer. If your preferred dates do not qualify, compare the ordinary direct rate and other hotels rather than assuming the discount can be extended.

Before you follow a booking link

Read who sells the stay or experience and who handles changes. Keep the offer terms and booking confirmation. If a code fails, do not assume payment will trigger the discount later: contact the provider or select another offer.
