Peña Blanca, also known as Wishing Well Beach, is a secluded hidden gem nestled between white limestone cliffs on Aguadilla's northwest coast. This small, intimate cove offers crystal-clear turquoise waters perfect for snorkeling and swimming, with excellent visibility and marine life including sea turtles and tropical fish. Best suited for adventurous visitors seeking a pristine, off-the-beaten-path beach experience away from crowds.
Free parking is available but extremely limited with only 3-5 official spots at the end of the street. Most visitors pay $5-10 to park at a local resident's property for security, as parking on the road results in $100 tickets.
Be careful on wet concrete steps with no railings when descending to the beach. Watch for sea urchins and fire coral while snorkeling, and check tide charts before visiting as high tide can completely eliminate the beach area.
Summer months from late May to August offer the best conditions with calm waters, full beach access, and ideal swimming/snorkeling conditions. Winter months are better for surfing but may have limited or no beach area during high tide.
