La Playuela, commonly called Playa Sucia, is one of Puerto Rico’s most breathtaking beaches—an undeveloped crescent of white sand framed by limestone cliffs and the iconic Los Morrillos Lighthouse. Despite its nickname “Sucia” (“dirty”), the beach is pristine, with turquoise waters and dramatic views of the Cabo Rojo salt flats and cliffs. It’s part of the Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge, making it a favorite for nature lovers, hikers, and photographers.
